Search And Rescue

S.A.R. (SEARCH And RESCUE) is a term used in the professional life saving rescue scenes, of those who are in danger, whether the situation be in a remote wilderness, or open water, etc. The men and women on the SAR operation teams are the elite professionals with extensive skills and experience necessary to overcome the great dangers of the task and rescue those that are in danger of losing their lives, somewhere out there... In this new sabbath school class, we are to equip ourselves with tools and training for “life-saving missions” as well. We are to “SEARCH” God’s words, which is the most reliable defense and weapon against the attacks of satan, and to train ourselves to go out and “RESCUE” those that around us, waiting to be rescued.

We will use the Bible as our text book, and learn together to truly “SEARCH” its pages for direction and inspiration to be the source of strength in our daily lives. We will learn to pray together, for each other, and for others. And we will train ourselves in becoming a mobile outreach outfit, ready for service. In this new quarter, we will be studying from the book of Romans.

Dear friends, it’s time to go beyond just listening and passively receiving the message. It’s time to get up and “search” for the answers yourself. If you seek, God promises us that He will answer. (Matt. 7:7) History tells us that number of people, including the disciples, followed this search and rescue principle and did mighty work for God, because God gave them the light and the power they needed. Why don’t you come and join the team?

Matthew 9:37 says “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

“Why hover about the churches? Study the parable of the lost sheep, and go forth as true shepherds, seeking the lost one who is in the wilderness of sin. Rescue the perishing.-- Review and Herald, Dec. 12, 1893.”
