Here We Stand... After "Here We Stand"

“On Christ the solid rock I STAND, all other ground is sinking sand… My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” – SDA Hymnal #522

O, what a blessed week it was, to hold the Here We Stand revival seminar with Pastor Doug Bachelor delivering night after night of powerful message full of conviction and inspiration. Through this revival seminar, I believe that God has begun His mighty work in this town of Kalamazoo. The result tells the story.

There were average of 80 people attending each night, including the weekday nights, with largest attendance of 110. Twenty-seven non-members came and visited us through various forms of invitations made, and a number of returning church members joined them. Countless literatures and resources were distributed, including more than 100 sets of DVD recordings of the messages (that is at least 1000 discs with messages to share!!), thanks to the ever-so-dedicated work of the media team. There were 11 baptism and re-baptism decisions, and many have made the personal commitment with the Lord to study His word and stand for the truth. But I believe that this is just the beginning.

With the Bible prophecy seminar of Pastor Louis Torres here, now is the time to prepare ourselves to stand, to wave our banners high, to raise our voices loud, and to help others come to Christ.

The Great Controversy tells of the story of a pioneer reformer, Martin Luther, and how he made his stand. Threatened to retract his biblical discovery and to deny his conviction or be executed, he stood before his adversaries and firmly declared, “I cannot and will not retract… Here I stand, for I can do no other, may God help me.” (Great Controversy, Chapter 8)

God has called us to stand for His truth, and commissioned us to go out and prepare this town for His return. Oppositions will surely rise. But the same God, who walked among the faithful Hebrew young men in the fiery furnace, is with us.

So HERE WE STAND also, for we can do no other. May God help us.
